Background:

Abbots Cars have been established more than 25 years, making them one of the longest serving private hire companies in the county. In addition to serving the local community, Abbots Cars also offer a full corporate service with account facilities.

The Challenge:

Mr K Jenks of Abbots village cars approached Travis to give the family business a complete overhaul. Abbots Cars (formerly known as Abbots Village Cars) had an extremely tired image and though being the longest established local private taxi service, was being challenged by a number of new startups.

As budgets were somewhat restrictive, Travis devised a plan to ingrate the company's existing booking system into a fully automated online solution. This was achieved by developing a digital interface which would communicate between Abbots Cars driver management platform 'DIPLOMAT' and the new 'Quickbook' form, based on their new website.

Local promotional campaigns endorsed with measurable results programme.
PR, for example: Inviting local schools and community groups to take part in generating a new mascot for Abbots Village Cars. Rewarded in an investment for new books, sports equipment, aid for special needs within the community. Sponsorship of annual school sports days; award presented overall winner by Abbots V. C. representative and village Mayor. Press coverage within the Watford Observer and further reaching media.
Promotional vehicle wrapping for events and localised promotion.
